Job Title: Senior API Product Owner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior API Product Owner to join our team at Mozaic. As a key member of our product management team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our API products.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the API product line, aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Define and prioritize features and enhancements based on market trends, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive and achievable product roadmap for the API portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, understand customer needs, and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define API specifications, ensuring scalability, security, and usability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the release process, coordinating with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, gathering data to inform future enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to APIs.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and areas for innovation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on API products.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Must have experience working with payment APIs from Stripe, PayPal, Tipalti or Dwolla.
  • Solid understanding of API design principles and RESTful architecture.
  • Familiarity with API management tools and platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing .NET based products, focusing on .NET 8 with Entity Frameworks.
  • Familiar with the OpenAPI specification and using Swagger documentation for APIs.
  • Experience with Azure based applications, an understanding of Azure products and experience using Azure like Cosmos and Durable Functions to deliver solutions.
  • Experience with versioning APIs and maintaining several versions of an API in production environment.
  • Measuring API performance, managing alerting, and ensuring five nines uptimes.
  • Understand how to demand quality from engineers and advocate quality to stakeholders.
  • Experience with implementing user tracking and engagement metrics to establish API usage patterns.
  • Understanding how APIs can be abused by users and strategies to mitigate that risk.
  • Experience with Agile and in writing Agile stories in Jira or other ticketing platform.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
