Job Description

At DAC, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled TAB Technician to join our team. As a TAB Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain test and balance equipment and instrumentation to ensure accurate system performance.
  • Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders to provide timely updates on project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Adjust fan speeds, pumps, balancing dampers, fan rotation, heating and cooling modes, thermostat operation, damper controls, fan controls, valve positioning, and other air/water-side mechanical system operations to achieve optimal system performance.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Conduct initial site inspections, review mechanical plans and specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Adjust balancing dampers, measure final HVAC operating conditions, and ensure correct building and space pressure.
  • Use software to interact with and validate Building Automation System operation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning preferred.
  • NEBB/AABC Certifications as a Technician required.
  • 1-15 years' experience in commercial HVAC, Controls, Mechanical Services, and/or Test & Balance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage resource procurement and utilization.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • This position requires working in diverse project types, including industrial environments.
  • Thorough background and drug screening will be required for each applicant.
