Alterations Customer Service Representative Job Description

At David's Bridal, we're seeking a skilled Alterations Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a critical role in the successful operation of the Alterations department, you'll contribute to providing superior customer service and ensuring seamless customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and service customers with genuine enthusiasm, adapting your style to suit their needs and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver a five-star customer experience.
  • Meet all service vows, including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers, and complete operational checklist tasks.
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at once, addressing concerns with confidence and escalating when necessary.
  • Effectively communicate the importance of alterations in perfecting the dress for special events.
  • Promote all alterations services and personalization options.
  • Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, organization, and promotional readiness.
  • Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments.
  • Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise.
  • Follow quality control guidelines and inspect garments to ensure pristine condition before delivery.
  • Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support inventory management and cash wrap behaviors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS systems.
