Job Description

Job Title: Vendor Quality Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Quality Analyst to join our team at CI – The Manufacturing Career HUB. As a Vendor Quality Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet the established quality standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to determine specifications and communicate with vendors to ensure part specs are met.
  • Evaluate the quality management systems of suppliers and assess their capability to meet quality standards.
  • Provide feedback to vendors and work closely with them to address any quality issues or concerns and document corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection findings, vendor evaluations, and quality performance metrics.
  • Present findings to the Quality Manager and other relevant stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and audit production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate quality incidents, defects, and deviations to determine root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results, vendor communications, quality audits, and corrective actions taken.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software.
