Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures.
  • Position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, being attentive to their needs and concerns.
  • Explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions and reducing anxiety.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems related to software
  • Current CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred
  • Advanced techniques, including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred
  • Previous MRI experience, required
