Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images, following Radiologist's directions and established procedures.
• Position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, being attentive to eye contact, facial/body expressions, and tone of voice.
• Explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems related to software.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred.
• Advanced techniques, including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred.
• Previous MRI experience, required.
