About the Role

Mondo is seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Office of Information Technology Services, you will play a critical role in providing data and application solutions to our College community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Needs Assessment: Collaborate with College stakeholders and ITS colleagues to assess business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Solution Design: Design solutions to improve or facilitate College business and academic processes, considering data integration and lifecycle needs.
  • Research and Suggestion: Research the solution space and suggest options that fulfill needs while adhering to ITS strategy for new software and application solutions.
  • Documentation: Document new solutions thoroughly from a technical and user perspective.
  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service in support and solution building and design.
  • Reporting Strategy: Play an integral role in the design and implementation of a reporting strategy, including assessing reporting and data needs and building metadata models and reports.
  • Application Assessment: Collaborate with ITS and functional colleagues to assess applications and systems for improvements; identify and prioritize those areas for improvement; and work as part of a team to deliver, test, and implement improvements.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues and respond to incidents on production systems, applying appropriately thorough and contemporary investigative and technical methods to identify and then resolve issues.
  • Support and Liaison: Provide exceptional 2nd- and 3rd-tier support to internal customers and act as an intermediary for support and implementation involving third-party vendors and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as liaison between ITS and College stakeholders; act as a trusted advisor in all interactions in order to foster continued partnerships with staff across the College.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience with some combination of the following:
  • Enterprise Software Configuration: Configuring, customizing, or maintaining some aspect of an enterprise software system at the application level.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Experience with enterprise solutions such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or Banner, preferably in higher education.
  • Programming and Scripting: High-level programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl.
  • Database Management: Querying data with SQL and working knowledge of relational databases.
  • System Administration: System or application administration at the enterprise level.
  • Report Writing: Report writing or dashboard design in a tool such as PowerBI, Microsoft SSRS, Cognos, or Tableau.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong relationship skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of contemporary software development practices, including source control, development lifecycles, and testing.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in both completion of work and documenting work products.
  • Time Management: Effective time management practices, applied in a fast-paced environment.
  • IT Support Fundamentals: Working knowledge of contemporary IT support fundamentals, including change control, issue, and incident workflow, and issue tracking.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting practices and the determination to solve complex problems.
  • Project Management: Working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Higher Education Experience: Experience in higher education, especially in a technology role.
  • Collaborative Approach: A collaborative, constructive, and positive approach to work.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a member of an established team, set priorities, and work collaboratively as a member of a diverse community.
