Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Winston G Douglas. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for appointments, conduct interviews, and record vital signs.
  • Lab and Radiology: Perform routine laboratory and radiology tests as per established protocols.
  • Office Management: Maintain nursing stations and examination areas in accordance with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
  • Inventory and Scheduling: Manage medical supplies and materials, and schedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including filing and retrieving test results and charts.
  • Medication Refills: Assist with medication refills under the supervision of a Doctor, PA, NP, or LPN.
  • Documentation: Prepare timely and complete documentation of patient care as required by law, regulation, and established policy.
  • Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and stay current with industry developments.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including patient confidentiality and risk management.
  • Communication: Provide excellent customer service and interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
