We are looking for a Registered Dietitian I to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our patients. Our team values collaboration and is eager to welcome a new member who shares our commitment to exceptional patient care.

Role Responsibilities

The TriStar Food & Nutrition team is in search of a qualified Registered Dietitian I. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher and will be tasked with assessing, implementing, and monitoring patient care through the Nutrition Care Process. This position requires outstanding customer service skills to effectively support both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in competencies outlined in the Competency Checklist and achieve performance goals set annually.
  • Incorporate ethical practices in all areas of work, adhering to confidentiality and patient rights policies.
  • Utilize nutrition screening tools to identify patients at nutritional risk.
  • Apply the Nutrition Care Process for patient assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Initiate nutrition assessments and develop care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Provide nutrition counseling for both inpatients and outpatients as necessary.
  • Follow established nutrition care guidelines and protocols to ensure evidence-based care.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team approaches, including participation in medical rounds.
  • Contribute to departmental committees and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new dietitians.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain compliance with registration and licensure requirements.
  • Educate and mentor dietetic interns and healthcare students in clinical nutrition.
  • Focus on patient-centered care and enhance patient and family experiences.
  • Utilize healthcare software for nutrition management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Master's Degree (Preferred)
  • Registered Dietitian within 6 months of hire (Required)
  • Licensed Dietitian within the state within 6 months of hire (Required)
  • Maintains a professional portfolio with continuing education credits.
  • Knowledge of patient safety principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to use database software for reporting and data management.
