Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a CT Scan Radiology Specialist, you will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients appropriately for scanning specific areas of their bodies.
  • Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
  • Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.
Requirements
  • ARRT certification and CT radiographer license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT scan radiology required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of Cerner experience.
  • Active unencumbered and Radiology Tech/CT Tech Connecticut state license.

  • Participate in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
