Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment and performing procedures to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners and other imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Position patients and select appropriate scanning factors to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Review patient medical records and obtain necessary clinical information to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Provide patient education and safety information regarding radiation and magnetic protection.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient information, imaging procedures, and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. The incumbent must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist level. The position may also involve exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
