Fire Protection Systems Technician Trainee

BBSI is collaborating with a prominent full-service fire protection systems provider in Southern California, dedicated to delivering exceptional services across the region.

We are in search of a dedicated Fire Protection Systems Technician Trainee to assist foremen and team members in the installation of fire protection systems on a variety of construction projects, including renovations, new constructions, underground installations, and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the installation of fire protection systems.
  • Comply with safety regulations and utilize necessary protective equipment.
  • Adhere to company and industry standards.
  • Engage in training sessions to improve safety knowledge.
  • Demonstrate integrity and uphold company values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with fire protection systems.
  • Basic mechanical and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fire codes.
  • Experience in fabricating and securing pipes using hand tools.
  • Familiarity with tools such as saws, drills, wrenches, and pipe threaders.
  • Commitment to safety practices.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of NFPA13 standards (Preferred).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (Preferred).
  • High School diploma or GED.
