Your Role as a Senior Educator

As a Senior Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of young children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding and mentoring junior educators within your classroom, demonstrating best practices and providing constructive feedback.
  • Implementing KinderCare's curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Creating a secure and nurturing atmosphere where children can explore and learn.
  • Building partnerships with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to their children's education.
  • Contributing to the center's success by collaborating with staff and leadership to meet goals related to enrollment and community engagement.
  • Fostering positive relationships with families, educators, licensing authorities, and community partners.

Qualifications for Success

  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or fulfillment of NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • Preferred status as an approved state trainer.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Compliance with state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Ability to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work in various environments.
  • Capability to engage physically with children and maintain visual and auditory contact for safety.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English to communicate effectively with children and parents.
