Your Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols, risk assessments, and procedures aimed at minimizing workplace incidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety training sessions, perform regular safety audits, and formulate emergency response strategies.
- Investigate workplace incidents to determine root causes and enforce preventive measures, ensuring all documentation meets legal standards.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess construction activities and establish safety procedures tailored to those projects.
- Lead and mentor on-site Health and Safety professionals, serving as the primary contact for critical incident management and regulatory audits.
- Oversee training for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) personnel, conduct equipment inspections, and monitor operational safety.
- Facilitate management reviews concerning Workers Compensation and Safety Inspections.
- Compile and analyze statistical data, presenting detailed reports on safety performance.
- Work closely with all operational sites to ensure seamless integration of safety policies into daily business functions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in industrial safety, construction safety, automated warehouse safety, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of experience in safety management within operational or functional support roles, preferably in warehouse, distribution, or logistics settings.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, ASME, ANSI, and ISO regulations.
- Extensive understanding of safety principles, accident prevention strategies, and safety equipment.
- Experience with MHE operations, training, and inspections.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and legal teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
