Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at WITRON Service America. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing safety standards nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive safety policies, risk assessments, and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct safety training sessions, perform safety inspections, and create emergency response plans.
  • Investigate workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Ensure proper documentation and legal compliance for all accidents.
  • Collaborate with the construction management team to review project activities and design safety procedures affecting construction projects.
  • Lead and train Health and Safety professionals on site and be the main contact for critical incident management and regulatory agency audits.
  • Oversee MHE training for employees, equipment inspections, and operations monitoring.
  • Conduct management-level reviews for Workers Compensation and Safety Inspections.
  • Compile statistical data and present technical reports on safety performance.
  • Work closely with all sites to ensure that safety policies are seamlessly integrated into all business operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in industrial or construction safety, automated warehouse safety, machinery manufacturer safety, or a related field.
  • Five (5) plus years of experiences managing safety in operational or functional support roles, ideally in warehouse/distribution/logistics environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, ASME, ANSI, and ISO regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety principles, accident prevention, and safety equipment.
  • Experience with MHE operations, training, and inspections.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface and plan with management and legal teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
