Maintenance Technician 1

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team at Target. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair automated material handling and facility equipment to ensure high equipment availability rates.
- Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment, including powered industrial trucks, HVAC systems, and air compressors.
- Read and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close work orders with accurate data.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.
- Basic PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
- Familiar with simple wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.
- Experience in the following areas: work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, commonly used industrial tools, basic carpentry and plumbing, basic blueprint and schematic reading, basic AC/DC electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, and basic industrial controls.
- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions.
- Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
