Role Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for conducting a range of moderately to highly complex tests across various patient demographics, adhering to CMS-2226-F: 42 CFR 493 Medicare, Medicaid, and CLIA standards. This role involves applying established principles, theories, and methodologies to ensure precise test outcomes in areas such as Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Urinalysis.

Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, MLS, or a related scientific field, including a minimum of 12 months in a clinical training program or nearing completion of such a program; or otherwise meeting the qualifications for a medical technologist as per Federal and State Regulations. Current registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or eligibility for registration is required, with successful completion expected within the first year of employment. BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
