Job Description

Overview

The individual in this role is tasked with overseeing the operations within the Count Room, ensuring the accuracy of currency and voucher tallies from Slot machines, while also adhering to the regulations set forth by the Gaming Commission. This position is also dedicated to delivering exceptional service to both internal staff and external guests.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

  • Gather funds from Slot Machines.
  • Verify documentation for accuracy.
  • Conduct a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the BVU boxes.
  • Perform a mechanically assisted count of the live gaming device drop boxes to ascertain, by table, the amount of the drop and the win.
  • Process and maintain precise financial records from the daily count.
  • Count, strap, and wrap funds securely.
  • Ensure the count room is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Input data into the ACSC computer system.
  • Communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service to team members, guests, and vendors.
  • Execute all other duties as assigned and comply with all Indiana Gaming Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in seminars as required.

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/certifications as per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must be capable of operating drop carts for the collection, transfer, and delivery of funds.
  • Must be able to move swiftly throughout the gaming floor and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Cash handling or banking operations.
  • The Gaming industry, including principles and practices of capital and operational budgeting.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • 10-Key calculator proficiency.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming industry is strongly preferred.

ABILITY TO:

  • Interact effectively with individuals.
  • Perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Identify various denominations of vouchers and currency and quickly count and organize them.
  • Count and separate different denominations of vouchers and currency.
  • Be adaptable to work early morning/overnight shifts and varying schedules as needed.
  • This position involves time spent on the Casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, which can fluctuate based on guest volume.
  • Deliver a service level that fosters an environment encouraging guests to return, providing each guest with a positive and memorable entertainment experience.
  • Interpret and clarify policies and procedures.
