Position Overview:
Location: Bedford, Texas
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, with occasional Saturdays

Department Highlights:
  • Situated within the Lisa Trent Breast Center
  • Recognized as a Center of Excellence: ACR accredited in Mammography, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Ultrasound Guided Biopsy
  • Provides on-site mentorship for Mammography Technologist Trainees
Qualifications Required:
  • Valid Texas Medical Board License - MRT
  • Current ARRT certification in Mammography or eligibility to take the advanced level exam with proof of clinical experience
  • Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEUs every three years, with 200 documented cases every two years
  • Preferred experience in diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies
Daily Responsibilities of a Mammography Specialist:
  • Deliver comprehensive services and support in the following areas:
    • Prepare for and assist the Radiologist during complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
    • Generate high-quality imaging for radiological assessment
    • Clearly communicate procedures to patients and educate them on the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health
    • Maintain a patient-centered approach, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills
    • Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and colleagues in both individual and small group settings
    • Consistently apply excellent mammography positioning and exposure techniques
    • Complete necessary documentation accurately
    • Conduct quality control measures related to mammography
    • Assist in the collection and maintenance of statistical data
    • Ensure patient privacy and comfort throughout the process
