About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planner to join our team at Galls. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting and planning products within specified product categories. You will serve as the accountable owner of forecast accuracy and optimized inventory levels across the network within your categories, working closely with the Merchant to deliver performance through all Galls sales channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage item-level statistical forecasts for your specific categories, acting as the functional expert for Galls demand planning, including ecom and sales channels.
  • Create forecasts and initial planning for new product rollouts, including setting up all item parameters, product supersession, and demand overrides with expected demand curves.
  • Manage exceptional demand by reviewing system-generated exceptional demand alerts weekly/monthly and smoothing demand spikes after validating demand with key owners, history, and system data integrity.
  • Facilitate a collaborative and consensus approach by working closely with the merchandising team, agency demand planning team, and the supply planning team, including seasonal planning to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Provide support on the monthly business reviews, sharing performance, trends, and opportunities with the merchant.

  • Presentation skills – Strong business storytelling ability backed by diligent data-support to present with clarity and professionalism across the organization and vendors.
  • Proficient in understanding of fundamental business management and supply chain principles and concepts.
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources to develop, implement, and execute timely and accurate demand forecasts.
  • Experienced utilizing demand planning/inventory/purchase order/supply chain optimization tools. Experience with ToolsGroup products a plus.
  • Highly Proficient/Advanced in Excel, experience utilizing data tools such as Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, or other data-mining tools.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt readily to change and work within a high-paced environment with autonomy.
  • Experience with multi-channel business to include store, catalog, and web.
  • Successful experience in customer-centric organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to convert data into information and present insights.
