We're seeking a seasoned Virtualization Engineer with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly secure Hyper-V environments that host Active Directory. This individual will play a critical role in driving business growth by optimizing our virtualization infrastructure and developing automation scripts to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Hyper-V designs that meet the needs of our business, ensuring seamless integration with Active Directory.
  2. Performance Optimization: Analyze performance trends to optimize capacity planning and recommend improvements to our virtualization environment.
  3. Automation and Scripting: Create and deploy PowerShell scripts to automate processes and systems administration tasks.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with the Active Directory Operations team to implement changes to the virtualization infrastructure and ensure smooth operations.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of baselines, technical procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Windows Server Experience: Proven expertise in Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, and 2012, as well as Active Directory 2012R2, 2016, and 2019.
  • Hyper-V Expertise: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Hyper-V environments.
  • Powershell Scripting: Strong proficiency in creating and deploying PowerShell scripts for automation and systems administration.
  • Storage and Network Engineering: Hands-on experience in engineering, designing, and testing storage (S2D) and networks for virtual environments.
  • HP Hardware Experience: Familiarity with HP hardware, particularly in planning and deploying firmware updates and ILO integration/automation.
  • Technical Documentation: Excellent skills in creating technical documentation, policies, and procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Global Architecture Experience: Previous experience in architecting global 2016 Active Directory infrastructures at a senior level.
  • Networking Knowledge: Working knowledge of internetworking clients and Active Directory, including name resolution, Kerberos/NTLM authentication, etc.
  • Windows Technologies: Familiarity with Windows technologies, such as Storage Spaces, BitLocker, Windows Firewall, and clustering.
  • Solution Design: Strong understanding of solution design, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

Compensation:

The annualized salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $190,700.00, dependent on experience, education, and skill set.

This role is eligible for participation in our discretionary incentive plan, which awards employees based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors.
