About the Role:

As a seasoned leader in long term care, you will oversee the efficient and profitable operations of assigned facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations. Your expertise will drive the highest quality of care possible, with complete oversight of your home facility and assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve quality care, employee retention, and financial performance goals for home facility and assigned facilities.

• Prepare and manage annual budgets for approval by senior regional management.

• Direct and guide clinical, administrative, and service departments of home facility, implementing control systems to ensure accountability.

• Represent facility at community meetings, promoting programs through various news media.

• Monitor performance, taking corrective action when necessary, and lead monthly operational calls.

• Travel as necessary to assigned facilities, assisting with training and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 7+ years' experience as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in long term care.

• 5+ years' experience as a Regional Director of Operations.

• Strong leadership style promoting employee engagement and retention.

• Ability to travel 50-60% to support facility locations.

Qualifications:

• BS in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a clinical specialty, or equivalent long term care experience.

• Licensed by the state.

• Seven years' experience as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in a long term care setting.

• Five years' experience as an RDO.

Essential Functions:

• Lead planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee retention, and financial performance for home facility and assigned facilities.

• Prepare annual budgets for approval by senior regional management of home and assigned facilities.

• Direct and guide the activities of clinical, administrative, and service departments of home facility.

• Implement control systems to ensure accountability of all departments.

• Represent facility at community meetings and promote programs through various news media.

• Monitor performance for achievement of goals and for improvement, and take corrective action when necessary.

• Responsible for census development/marketing for region with extensive involvement with assigned facilities.

• Ensure all employees receive orientation and ongoing training to meet the quality goals of the organization.

• Lead monthly operational calls.

• Travel as necessary to assigned facilities.

• Assist with training as necessary with assigned facilities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of long term care and Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards.

• Knowledge of cost reporting, profit and loss, and budget compliance.

• Ability to work with a large staff and diverse client base.

• Ability to be flexible in work hours.

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.

• Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce.

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.

• Ability to organize and prioritize.
