CAD Technician Job Description

As a CAD Technician at Trilon Group, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed CAD deliverables. You will have a strong understanding of surveying and mapping principles, as well as experience with Microstation, Openroads, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and software changes.
  • Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
  • Analyze deeds and research materials for survey production.
  • Utilize MTS and/or FDOT checklists throughout project performance.
  • Extract linework and features from point clouds using TopoDot software.
  • Collaborate with survey field crews to assist with data collection responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • FDOT experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of CADD systems, including MicroStation, Geopak, Civil 3D, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
