This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the medical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the medical staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner, building relationships with external stakeholders and promoting the organization's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of a residency program in a relevant specialty.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board certification in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management.
