Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per yearJob Description
  • Patient Care Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with patient examination and treatment under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider.
  • Schedule and organize patient flow, accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms, and assist with changing to exam gowns as needed.
  • Assess patient's general condition and collect patient history.
  • Document health history, activities, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing basic patient care as ordered by physicians and assisting with various procedures.
  • Communicating physician advice/instructions to patients and providing education materials.
  • Cast and splint application and removal, fitting patients with braces, boots, and other DME as ordered by physicians.
  • Performing wound dressing changes, preparing injections, and removing sutures and staples.
  • Cleaning and stocking exam rooms while adhering to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in an orthopaedic clinic preferred.
  • Orthopaedic Technician or EMT license preferred.
  • LPN, CMA, CST, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
