Position Overview:
The Campus Safety Specialist will ensure the safety and security of guests, tenants, vendors, and employees within the AEG facilities. This role involves collaborating with local public safety organizations to meet the security objectives of AEG.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a representative and liaison for AEG, consistently exhibiting a professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor. Discretion and tact are essential in all interactions with guests and staff.
- Conduct regular patrols on foot throughout the campus and its surroundings.
- Respond promptly to all security requests and service calls.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and employees.
- Perform routine inspections of all assigned patrol and fixed post areas.
- Document incidents and complete necessary reports.
- Secure crime scenes and ensure safety until local law enforcement arrives. Conduct basic investigations for minor incidents.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment around the venue.
- Collaborate closely with local public safety agencies to achieve AEG's safety and security goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patrons, employees, and company information.
- Strong memory and recall skills for incident-related information.
- Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for long durations, up to 12 hours.
- Capability to ride a bicycle.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Availability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Sign-on Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a one-time sign-on bonus, subject to applicable taxes and withholdings, payable within a specified timeframe.
