Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 18-24 Months + Possible Extension

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Hybrid role - onsite required for a limited duration, with no travel reimbursement.

Role Overview:

  • Engages in the design, construction, testing, and deployment of clinical application systems.
  • Offers support to clinical personnel by leveraging knowledge of clinical workflows, documentation requirements, and practice standards to tailor software solutions.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to draft or modify written protocols.
  • Prepares comprehensive specifications detailing clinical processes, information flow, risk assessments, and impact evaluations.
  • May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Handles responsibilities related to scheduling templates, overseeing all incoming change requests for provider templates.
  • Determines the implications on decision-making frameworks and upholds organizational standards.
  • Utilizes acquired skills and clinical application concepts for projects of moderate complexity.
  • Operates autonomously within defined responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the creation, analysis, and support of provider and ancillary templates.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for template design and development, informed by provider utilization analytics.
  • Scope includes management of templates for provider schedules.
  • Identifies and proactively addresses issues that hinder patient access and flow.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 50%: Analyze, design, implement, maintain, audit, and evaluate provider and resource scheduling templates.
  • 15%: Facilitate and prioritize template change requests, assessing their impact on workflows and organizational standards.
  • 10%: Collaborate with clinic teams to ensure effective template optimization and maintenance.
  • 10%: Evaluate various scheduling functionalities to enhance template design for improved efficiency.
  • 5%: Participate in user training for clinical software and systems, developing training materials and aids.
  • 5%: Troubleshoot and document moderately complex issues, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating support.
  • 5%: Maintain clear communication with management, team members, and stakeholders regarding template and scheduling expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in building scheduling templates within the EPIC environment.
  • EPIC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling template construction in the Epic system.
  • Familiarity with clinical application systems, including development, implementation, and user support.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on timely resolution of issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for effective collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication, able to convey technical information clearly.
  • Understanding of departmental systems for documentation and reporting.
