FSLA: NON-EXEMPT, HOURLY
SALARY: $16.00 / HR PLUS TIPS
ASM Global, a leading facilities management organization, is currently seeking part-time Catering Service Runners. This recruitment will close once positions are filled.
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Suites and Catering Manager, the Catering Service Runner will possess a comprehensive understanding of the suites and catering operations to deliver the highest level of customer service. Catering Service Runners will support the Suite Servers as required and assist in resolving any issues that may arise during service. The primary responsibility of the Catering Service Runner is to efficiently transport food and beverage orders from the kitchen to the pantry while also assisting in various other tasks as assigned, ensuring exceptional performance, guest satisfaction, and overall profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to Standards of Service and assist in ensuring compliance from all department personnel.
- Deliver exemplary customer service in alignment with company expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Suites and Catering Manager and Pantry Coordinator.
- Ensure proper rotation of all items in storage.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Experience of 3-5 months in food running or relevant training is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols.
- Ability to follow directions, multitask, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic with urgency and quality in a collaborative environment.
- Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
- Possess problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational abilities.
- Work well with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds.
- Demonstrate a consistently positive, customer service-oriented attitude.
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to accurately document inventory items using standard spreadsheets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to navigate the facility, stand for extended periods during events, and communicate clearly. This role necessitates standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
