About Us: Provider Contract Food Service is a leading provider of culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients. We are currently seeking a Catering Supervisor to join our team at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, CA.


As a Catering Supervisor, you will assist the Catering Director in planning and executing events, ensuring a positive experience for our clients and their guests. You will communicate effectively with managers, chefs, and catering staff to ensure seamless event execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates requisitions for each event with all event details and meets with Chef's weekly to verify event details and menu items.
  • Manages and trains catering team on service and hospitality standards, ensuring readiness and ability to perform to company standards.
  • Inventories and orders disposables, beverages, and products accordingly for upcoming event needs.
  • Creates a detailed equipment pull list for each event and supervises cleanup and breakdown of events, accounting for safe return of all equipment and supplies.
  • Creates weekly schedule, verifies with Catering Director, and posts schedule, responsible for day-to-day shift coverage.


Requirements:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in catering or the food industry.
  • Proven successful leadership and people skills.
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently to effectively communicate with co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to calculate food/beverage quantities for each event and keep adequate records of disposable and linen inventory for all events.
