Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Operator to join our team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the switchboard and providing routine information to patients and staff.

Essential Duties:

  • Answer all incoming calls and provide direct dial numbers as appropriate
  • Respond to emergency calls and codes following established protocols
  • Assist callers by using the paging or beeping systems as needed
  • Maintain required records and statistics
  • Assist in the maintenance and care of department equipment and supplies

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One (1) or more years' previous experience in Telecommunication Operations is preferred.

Salary Estimate: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
