Overview:

The Security Manager plays a crucial role in advising personnel on government security protocols and ensuring that operational facilities meet essential physical security standards. This position involves providing insights on security considerations for new business initiatives and overseeing security-related functions at off-site locations. The role encompasses responsibilities as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) and a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff in completing security clearance documentation through the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system to ensure compliance and timely submission to government entities.
  • Coordinate personnel security clearance processes with the Defense Security Service.
  • Manage additional security prerequisites, including Polygraphs, National Agency Checks, and Counterintelligence Screening.
  • Facilitate SCI personnel security clearance processes in accordance with various government contract stipulations.
  • Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for automated systems handling classified data.
  • Develop and maintain Automated Information System Security Plans (AISSP) while ensuring adherence to government operational standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all cleared personnel.
  • Oversee the personnel security files for all cleared employees.
  • Process Visit Requests for classified engagements.
  • Establish and manage the daily operations of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • Serve as the primary contact for alarm activations at the headquarters facility.
  • Ensure accountability for all classified documents entering or leaving the facility.
  • Provide courier authorizations and briefings as necessary.
  • Prepare DD Forms 254 for subcontractors and interpret requirements for contract compliance.
  • Issue Security ID badges as required by contract specifications.
  • Prepare reports and notifications to relevant government agencies as mandated by regulations.
  • Keep senior management informed of any security vulnerabilities or concerns.
  • Coordinate security requirements with appropriate government agencies and collaborate with their security personnel.
  • Supervise off-site facilities to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • As FSO, manage corporate adherence to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) as outlined in the NISPOM and contract specifications.
  • As CSSO, oversee compliance with the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program as per Department of Defense directives.
  • Manage supporting staff and oversee their direction, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in any field.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in corporate government contracting and security-related roles.
  • Top Secret clearance required with eligibility for SCI access.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of NISPOM and SCI Administrative Security Manual.
  • Familiarity with Automated Information System Processing requirements for both collateral and SCI systems.
  • Hands-on experience in managing secure facilities (TS and below) through the Defense Security Service and SCIF management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook and SharePoint.
