As a senior systems engineer, you will assess and analyze combat weapon systems utilizing advanced analytical tools such as Excel, MATLAB, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM). Your proficiency will be essential in evaluating and enhancing combat systems. This role will enhance your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operational analysis while providing experience in constructive modeling and simulation of combat scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scenarios and conduct analytical evaluations of combat weapon systems using mission-level constructive simulation tools like AFSIM, Suppressor, ITASE, or NGTS.
- Utilize various commercial and government-off-the-shelf modeling and simulation tools, including MATLAB, C++, Perl, or Python, to process and analyze data across different formats.
- Create AFSIM scripts to tailor model behaviors and decision-making processes within analytical scenarios.
- Possess knowledge of U.S. and international combat weapon systems, including both aerial and ground-based air defense systems.
- Apply principles of Operational Analysis to implement study plans and analysis matrices effectively.
- Maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing extensive raw model outputs to identify significant factors.
- Ability to summarize and communicate complex technical insights and findings clearly.
- Possess TS/SCI clearance.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
