Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Manage case cart inventory and ensure proper handling of equipment, instrumentation, and chemicals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process.
  • Scan, sort, inspect, and assemble instruments according to procedure, and perform recordkeeping.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; sterile processing certification (CRST) by IAHCSMM or CBSPD within 2 years.
  • Preferred qualifications include one year of healthcare experience or a similar background in mechanical/manufacturing assembly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing over 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
