Job Opportunity: Engineering Geologist

The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Geologist to join our team in the Site Cleanup and Department of Defense Program. As an Engineering Geologist, you will contribute to a multi-disciplinary team overseeing the administration of two state cleanup programs and utilize your geology skills for various special projects on contaminant transport and cleanup.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the Duty Statement attached for a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Apply geology skills to special projects, including contaminant transport and cleanup.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Essential personal qualifications include integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving.
  • CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate for this classification.
