Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health System. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modalities.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure requests.
  • Obtain pertinent information from patient charts and document all data within the EHR.
  • Position patients and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Aware of the principles of ALARA and MR safety practices.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology.
  • Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
