Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries and exams
- Provide exceptional patient care, including restraint, handling, and monitoring
- Collect and analyze lab samples, including blood, urine, and fecal samples
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including disinfecting equipment and cleaning patient areas
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
