Key Responsibilities:

  • Triaging walk-in visits and prioritizing patient care
  • Ensuring exam rooms are well-stocked and cleaned after each appointment
  • Providing excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Performing various tasks, including patient restraint, venipuncture, and entering charges into Cornerstone
  • Recording client conversations and notes for technician/nurse visits
  • Obtaining patient and owner information, including medical history and microchip status
  • Discussing the New Client Folder and Trupanion Free Trial with clients
  • Entering patient and owner prompts into Cornerstone and printing related articles for clients
  • Performing fecal flotation, fecal smears, HW directs, and SNAP tests
  • Drawing up vaccines and positioning for and taking x-rays
  • Caring for hospitalized pets and following treatment sheet orders
  • Scheduling, canceling, or moving appointments and answering and parking calls
  • Performing call backs and checking in and out patients
  • Completing end-of-day closing duties
