About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at SCUSA Saputo Cheese USA Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control the wastewater treatment process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment equipment and facilities.
  • Collect and analyze wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve wastewater treatment efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in wastewater treatment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
  • WWTP operator certification (any grade) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate will be required to work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional overtime as needed.
