Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at SCUSA Saputo Cheese USA Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control water quality parameters to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
  • WWTP operator certification (any grade) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in confined spaces. The position may also require occasional overtime and weekend work.
