Job Summary

As a Wastewater Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our wastewater treatment facility. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as ensuring the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our water treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular wastewater sampling and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, blowers, and valves.
  • Assist in the installation and inspection of new wastewater equipment and components.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and make operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with the management team to review and implement regulatory compliance activities.
  • Document maintenance records, work orders, and task records in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • WWTP operator certification (any grade) preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to complete and pass required certification training courses within 18 months from the date of hire.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and basic scientific concepts.
  • Working knowledge of basic machinery preventive maintenance and repair, and automated control systems.
Working Environment

As a Wastewater Operator, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. You'll be required to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted and work both indoors and outdoors year-round.
