Job Description:

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to support the design and build of software defined tools and frameworks for control, data acquisition, testing, and analysis of integrated embedded vehicle systems.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with contractors and government employees. They must also possess good oral and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software applications to integrate J1939, Extended CAN, MIL-STD-1553, and other vehicle data bus systems information with vehicle test benches.
  • Develops vehicle test bench systems by designing, developing, and installing and utilizing package API software solutions.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ANSI C, C++, JAVA, C#, Vector CAPL, and other procedural and object-oriented languages as well as various vehicle data bus systems.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or greater in Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline is required with 5 years experience.
  • Previous experience as an Electronics Lead will be given preference.
  • Previous experience in a Software-in-the-Loop or Hardware-in-the-loop lab will be given preference.
  • Previous experience with Ground Vehicle Platform is preferred, but not required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Duty Station - Detroit Arsenal.
  • This position requires the candidate meet requirements to obtain a final secret security clearance to access classified information.
