We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties. As a Medical Assistant - Float Position, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Conduct basic lab tests, such as blood draws and injections, and process specimens for external lab tests.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking medical supplies.
- Provide patient education and support, including explaining medical procedures and providing information on reproductive health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medical histories and test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification by a certifying organization approved by the Medical Board of California.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a reproductive health or primary care environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and travel to various clinic locations as needed.
- Bilingual skills (reading, writing, and speaking) in English and Spanish or other languages spoken in the community.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Knowledge of reproductive health and wellness, including contraception, STIs, and pregnancy options.
- A competitive salary range of $47,576.74 - $56,095.39 per year.
