Job Title: Night Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for conducting financial audits, posting and balancing daily transactions, and ensuring accurate guest billing and credit card processing. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and Post Daily Transactions: Verify accuracy of daily financial transactions, including room fees, taxes, and other paid services.
  • Balance Daily Cashiers' Work: Ensure that all cashiers' work is balanced and accurate, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure Accurate Guest Billing: Verify that guests are correctly billed and credit card transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare Financial Reports: Create financial reports that detail various aspects of the hotel's performance, and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
  • Reconcile Credit Card System: Ensure that the credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service: Greet guests in a pleasant and professional manner, complete guest registration and check-out procedures, and respond to guest needs and requests.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain accurate bank during shift, use correct vouchers for specified transactions, and ensure the front desk is adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Hotel Emergency Procedures: Understand hotel emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, and follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Attention to Detail: Significant attention to detail is required for this role.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills are required for this role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are required for this role.
