Job Summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for verifying the accuracy of guest accounts by balancing each department's income. This role requires strong math skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of guest accounts by balancing each department's income
  • Post room and tax charges to guest folios
  • Receive and record guest payments
  • Prepare revenue reports to include all day rates
  • Prepare the Housekeeper's Report, listing the status of check-outs, stay-over, vacant, and out-of-order rooms for the night just ended
  • Assign rooms in a courteous and efficient manner to all incoming guests
  • Maintain the daily walk-in reservation count sheet
  • Provide information to guests in a courteous manner
  • Know and follow policies and procedures in emergency situations
Requirements
  • Hotel Night Auditor experience preferred
  • Prior Hotel Guest Services Representative strongly preferred
  • Ability to process math calculations
  • Office skills and technology, accounting/bookkeeping preferred
Work Environment

The Night Auditor will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, frequently sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires frequent bending, stair climbing, and lifting up to 15 pounds. The ability to adjust focus and use close, peripheral, and depth/distance vision is also required.
