Position Overview

As a Residential HVAC Technician at L&S, your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, as well as replacing various components as necessary. You will be tasked with diagnosing issues, clearly communicating these to clients in layman's terms, providing cost estimates, and suggesting alternative solutions. You will also be responsible for ordering parts upon customer approval and keeping your supervisor informed of any challenges encountered. Strong customer service skills are essential, alongside a solid technical background. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a friendly demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct warranty and service tasks to identify, repair, or replace malfunctioning residential HVAC components and systems.
  • Initiate start-up procedures for new residential HVAC installations.
  • Utilize digital devices to document service solutions for customer records and manage daily service schedules for optimal route planning.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance your technical knowledge and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service and start-up within the residential construction sector.
  • Possession of an EPA certification for starting up new HVAC systems, with Universal certification preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including working in various weather conditions, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds.
