Maintenance and Engineering Specialist

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Engineering Specialist to join our team at Granville Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and engineering repairs to hospital-owned buildings and equipment.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of hospital equipment and buildings to identify potential issues and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Conduct general maintenance and engineering repairs to hospital-owned buildings and equipment, including electrical wiring, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and medical gas systems.
- Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all necessary repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide emergency support during non-working hours.
**Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required; trade school certificate beyond high school preferred.
- Minimum four years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work; electrical license preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of JCAHO, N.F.P.A., and Life Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to take lead in times of Directors absence.
- On-the-job experience with gas-fired boiler operations and experience with gas-fired steam generating boilers.
- Experience with plumbing P.L.C.s and pneumatic controllers.
