Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance staff, contractors, and budgets for facility projects.
  • Making technical decisions in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electric, electronics, masonry, welding, painting, and mechanics.
  • Directs requisitions, purchases, and stock control procedures for tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Provides on-the-job training, conducts counseling sessions, and administers disciplinary actions to ensure maintenance staff adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Acts as fire marshal and directs safety programs to detect, minimize, and control fires and fire hazards.
  • Administers budget line items for maintenance and repair activities and develops estimates, prioritizes needs, and recommends parts, equipment, material, and other budget items.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in industrial maintenance technology, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Licensure in a building or mechanical trade, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction specialties, is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in facility maintenance.
