Laborer - Grounds Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled Laborer - Grounds Maintenance to join our team at Caddo Parish School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual, labor-intensive, and routine maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains school floors by removing furniture, waxing, and replacing furniture.
Assists in maintenance repairs, primarily lawn equipment.
Distributes parts, fuel, and other items needed for operation.
Assists with welding and maintenance of playground equipment.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma; six months to one year job-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
Work Environment
The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate.

The employee is required to maintain a high standard of professional conduct, including but not limited to, neglect of duty, dishonesty, and engagement in acts that are contrary to CPSB policy or unlawful activities.
