Program Management (Engineering)

Job Description and Requirements

Our Silicon IP division focuses on enhancing capabilities within System on Chip (SoC) designs at an accelerated pace. We provide an extensive array of silicon IP solutions, including pre-designed components for digital processing, memory, interfaces, analog systems, security features, and embedded processors. Our mission is to assist clients in integrating advanced functionalities while meeting specific performance, power, and size criteria for their applications. This enables them to launch distinctive products swiftly and with minimized risk.

In this capacity, the Program Manager collaborates closely with clients to oversee the development of IP for pivotal projects, ensuring successful execution in alignment with set commitments. This role serves as the primary point of contact, managing all communications with cross-functional teams across various geographical and organizational landscapes. Responsibilities include planning and directing timelines, identifying and escalating challenges, driving resolutions, and managing risks. Projects may encompass standard IPs, new developments, or customization of IP across diverse foundry process technology nodes.

The program management office at Synopsys acts as the principal liaison with our tier customers, ensuring the effective acquisition, integration, and silicon deployment of our IP within customer SoCs. We engage cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, FAE, CAE, and R&D) and maintain a global perspective throughout the organization. The Program Manager works within our internal teams to guarantee that we meet customer requirements for their SoC objectives and to identify opportunities for incorporating our IP into their future SoCs.

Position Requirements:

  • BSEE or equivalent with 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in program management within analog/digital SoC design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IC manufacturing, process technology, design flow, and sign-off processes is essential.
  • Customer-centric approach, ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize effectively, and a commitment to helping clients leverage new technologies are crucial for success in this role.
  • Experience in engaging with and communicating across various organizational levels is vital, as this is a highly visible position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership abilities, and collaborative teamwork skills are required to excel in this role.

At Synopsys, we are at the forefront of innovations that transform how we live and work. From self-driving vehicles to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, 5G, and the Internet of Things, we are driving the Era of Smart Everything with the world's most advanced technologies for chip design and software security. If you share our enthusiasm for innovation, we would like to connect with you.

Inclusion and Diversity are core values for us. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, military veteran status, or disability.

Synopsys values the diversity of our workforce and is committed to providing access and opportunities to individuals with disabilities, ensuring reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment and employment process.
