The organization is dedicated to delivering essential information and assistance regarding disability resources and services, fostering love, equity, and access for young individuals with disabilities.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Support Training Coordinator will play a key role in the design and execution of a new initiative aimed at creating a family support curriculum and training programs for educational institutions. This position will primarily focus on the MTSS-I project. Responsibilities may encompass offering guidance and assistance to families and professionals navigating the special education landscape.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research & Documentation
  • Conduct a review of pertinent family support and MTSS frameworks and literature.
  • Summarize critical insights and align them with the overarching initiative framework.
  • Maintain project documentation and data for efficient reporting.
Partnerships & Collaboration
  • Develop instructional materials and lead professional development workshops.
  • Foster and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
Curriculum Development & Training
  • Design training resources that adhere to adult learning principles.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops and convey complex information in an accessible manner.
Coaching and Technical Assistance
  • Offer technical support to professionals executing family engagement strategies.
  • Assist families in navigating the special education system.
  • Provide resources to empower stakeholders with confidence and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or equivalent experience in education, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of two years in family engagement preferred.
  • Proficient in research and writing.
  • Experienced in training and coaching.
  • Ability to manage intricate projects with multiple deliverables.
  • Grounded in culturally responsive educational practices.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
SALARY:
$67,500-$70,000
